Federico & His Student Gloria
Federico has been teaching privately in both the electric and acoustic bass for over ten years and has had many promising results through his students. Current and past students include both children and adults starting in a range of abilities from every day beginners who have never picked up a bass as well as professional players who have been on circuit for years but want to improve their musical knowledge. In his own words “I have developed my own teaching style tailored on each student’s needs. My aim is to help any student find their own musical path while building a solid background in instrumental technique, harmony, theory, rhythm, sight reading and ear training.”
Federico charges down to earth rates and discounts apply for students booking multiple lessons. He usually teaches from his home based in central Bristol but can drive to your place for a small fee. If you don’t own your own instrument he can also help you arrange hire or even advise purchasing your first or next bass.

I’ve had many music teachers over the years, but never anyone as good as Federico. As a musician he is gifted and soulful and as a teacher he is patient, thoughtful and clear in his guidance. The teaching style is relaxed but also very focused, working on the craft, the theory and the art of learning an instrument in a very integrated way. I highly recommend him as a teacher for anyone who wants to play double bass, and wants to find their own voice as a musician.
